Tollywood Producer K. Mahendra Passes Away At 75

Veteran Tollywood producer and A.A. Arts head K. Mahendra (75) passed away in Guntur after a prolonged illness. He breathed his last around midnight. His final rites will be held today in Guntur.

Born on February 4, 1946, in Dosapadu, Gudivada, Mahendra began his career in the direction department, later turning producer in 1977 with Premachi Pelli Do. He went on to produce several films, including Aarani Fire, Thodu Thieves, Police, Deva, and Kanakadurga Vrata Mahatyam.

Mahendra is survived by a daughter, married to actor Madala Ravi. His son Jeetu passed away earlier. Condolences have poured in from film personalities and fans mourning his loss.
