Tragedy Strikes at Sandhya Theatre During Allu Arjun's Pushpa-2 Premiere

Incident Overview

With the arrival of Allu Arjun, a stampede occurred at the Sandhya Theatre, leading to the tragic death of a woman. Pushpa-2, starring Allu Arjun, premiered worldwide on Thursday night. In Hyderabad, the premieres of Pushpa-2 were held on a grand scale. On Thursday night, Allu Arjun, his wife Sneha, and others attended the 9:30 PM show at Sandhya Theatre, located at RTC Cross Roads. Upon learning about Allu Arjun's presence, fans gathered in massive numbers at the theatre, causing a stampede.

Tragic Loss

A woman named Revathi (39), hailing from Dilsukhnagar, tragically lost her life in the stampede. Revathi had come to watch the Pushpa premiere show at Sandhya 70mm Theatre along with her husband Bhaskar and their two children, Sri Tej (9) and Sanvika (7). As Allu Arjun entered the theatre, fans surged toward the gates, resulting in chaos. The police resorted to a lathi charge to control the situation. In the chaos, Revathi and her son Sri Tej fell and lost consciousness.

Aftermath

The police rushed Revathi and her son to Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital in Vidyanagar. Unfortunately, Revathi was declared dead upon arrival. Sri Tej, who remains in critical condition, was shifted to KIMS Hospital in Begumpet for further treatment. Revathi’s body was later transferred from Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital to Gandhi Mortuary.
