Varsham Re Release Creates Sensation With Record Ticket Sales

Varsham Re Release ticket sales

Prabhas’ debut blockbuster Varsham, directed by Shobhan and featuring Trisha and Gopichand, has garnered an overwhelming response with its recent re-release.

Competing with Anji and Lakshmi Narasimha during its original 2004 Sankranthi release, Varsham earned over ₹18 crores back then.

Now re-released, it sold 37,000 tickets on BookMyShow on day one—more than Yamadonga, which sold 26,000. Currently, over 1,000 tickets are being sold per hour. If evening shows continue strong, it may cross ₹1 crore on day one and is expected to gross around ₹4 crores overall.

This marks Prabhas' second successful re-release this year after Salaar. With this, Prabhas fans join Pawan Kalyan fans in achieving two successful re-releases in a year. Another re-release on Prabhas’ birthday could make it three in one year—a rare record.
