Veteran Actor Mohan Raj Passes Away at 72

The 72-year-old actor's health deteriorated four days ago and was taken to the hospital.

Doctors placed him on a ventilator, but his condition did not improve, and he passed away on Thursday.

Mohan Raj had been battling Parkinson's disease for some time and suffered a recent heart attack.

After treatment in a private hospital in Chennai, doctors advised his family to take him home due to his condition.

He passed away shortly after reaching his hometown near Thiruvananthapuram.

Actor-director P. Dinesh Panicker confirmed Mohan Raj's death on social media.

Mohan Raj is survived by his wife Usha and two daughters.

He was well-known in Malayalam cinema as "Kirikkadan Jose" from the 1989 film Kireedam.

He also appeared in Telugu and Tamil films, playing villain roles in movies like Samarasimha Reddy, Narasimha Naidu, and Shiva Shankar.

Actors from Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam industries expressed their condolences on his passing.
