Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna to Star in Rahul Sankrityan's Historical Pan India Film

It is known that Tollywood's Rowdy hero Vijay Deverakonda is set to work on a pan-India film directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The movie will be based on a story set in the Rayalaseema region between 1854 and 1878. The film is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers with a massive budget. Recently, the script work for the movie was completed, and the set work began yesterday. The film will depict real historical events during British rule that have not been explored before. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the lead female role in the film.

The makers are planning to complete the set work as quickly as possible and commence regular shooting by July or August. Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda plans to finish and release his current project, VD12, before starting this new film. This movie with Rahul Sankrityan marks the 14th film in Vijay's career. Reports suggest that Vijay’s look in VD14 will be entirely different from his previous appearances. The film has already garnered significant attention because Vijay and Rashmika are teaming up again after their successful movies, Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, which have a dedicated fan base in Tollywood.

Vijay and Rahul Sankrityan previously collaborated on the hit movie Taxiwala, and since then, the duo had been planning to work together again. Finally, their combination is materializing after several years. On the other hand, Vijay has previously done two movies, Dear Comrade and Kushi, under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, both of which failed to perform at the box office. This time, Vijay is determined to deliver a blockbuster under the same banner.
