Vijay's Son Jason Sanjay to Make Directorial Debut with Thame, Starring Sandeep Kishan

It is well-known that Tamil star actor Vijay is stepping into full-scale filmmaking. In this context, he is introducing his son, Jason Sanjay, to the film industry, but not as a hero. Yes, what you read is true. Vijay has a massive fan base in Tamil Nadu, and his films easily collect crores, thanks to his huge following. However, Jason Sanjay has no interest in becoming a hero like his father.

From the start, Jason Sanjay was determined to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and become a director. He worked as an assistant director with several filmmakers and even directed a few short films on his own. Now, he is making his directorial debut in Kollywood. Jason Sanjay’s first film as a director, titled Thame, was announced by the well-known production house Lyca Productions in 2023.

In this movie, the hero role has been assigned to Tollywood's young hero Sandeep Kishan. Sandeep Kishan listened to the story, liked it, and gave the green signal. The film is set to begin shooting in December this year. Initially, AR Rahman’s son was rumored to compose the music for the film, but instead, the makers have handed the responsibility to Tollywood sensation Thaman.
