Karthik Varma Dandu, who delivered a blockbuster as a director with the film Virupaksha, got engaged quietly without much buzz. The engagement ceremony was held on Sunday at the girl’s residence. Karthik Varma Dandu is a protege of director Sukumar. He has experience working as a writer for the movie Karthikeya. In 2015, he debuted as a director with the film Bham Bholenath. However, the movie didn’t succeed as expected, so he didn’t attempt another project for a while. After a long break, he made Virupaksha with mega hero Sai Dharam Tej, which turned out to be a super hit.

Following the success of Virupaksha, he landed an opportunity to direct a film with Naga Chaitanya. He is currently busy with that project, and the shooting is reportedly already underway. While building his career as a director, Karthik Varma is also stepping into family life. On Sunday, he got engaged to a girl named Harshita. She does not belong to the film industry and appears to be a relative. Reports suggest the wedding might take place later this year.
