Recently, Sithara Entertainments announced Funky, directed by Anudeep, who is known for full-length comedy films. Producer Naga Vamsi spoke about the movie in an interview during the Mad promotions. He revealed that Funky is a love-comedy film with a storyline controlled by the female lead. The shooting is already in progress, and he has seen some of the rushes, which have a good amount of comedy. He even compared it to director Nag Ashwin’s biopic, saying it revolves around a young director falling in love with a star producer’s daughter, similar to the vibes of Geetha Govindam.

Naga Vamsi’s comments quickly went viral as they closely resemble the real-life love story of director Nag Ashwin, who married Priyanka Dutt, the daughter of producer Ashwini Dutt, after his debut film Yevade Subramanyam. The storyline of Funky seems to be inspired by this angle. The producer is confident about the film’s success, and now fans are eager to see if this movie will bring Vishwak Sen back into the hit zone.
