Netflix India is reimagining the Mahabharata with its first-ever mythological series, Kurukshetra, a two-part saga of 18 episodes. The first season premieres on October 10, 2025, unfolding through the perspectives of 18 warriors facing duty, loyalty, revenge, and the cost of a war that turned brothers into enemies.

Created by Anu Sikka and produced under Tipping Point, the series is written and directed by Ujaan Ganguly, with lyrics by Gulzar. “Through this animated series, we explore those 18 days with distinct perspectives, blending eternal wisdom with powerful visuals,” says Sikka.

Audiences are eager to see this timeless epic retold on a grand scale, bringing legendary characters to life through modern storytelling and cutting-edge animation.
