Will Ram Charan’s Peddi Be Postponed as Toxic and Durandhar 2 Crowd March?

Peddi release date

Global Star Ram Charan is currently headlining the much-anticipated film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The project has generated strong expectations among fans and the trade, especially following the mixed response to Ram Charan’s recent films after RRR.

While Acharya failed to meet expectations and Game Changer underperformed at the box office, industry buzz suggests that Peddi is being positioned as a crucial film in Ram Charan’s career. The movie was initially scheduled for a theatrical release on March 27, but reports now indicate a possible change in plans.

Sources close to the production confirm that filming is progressing as scheduled and will be completed on time. However, the speculation around postponement stems not from production delays but from mounting release-window pressure. Actor Yash’s big-budget film Toxic is set to hit theaters around the same period, carrying strong nationwide buzz.

Adding to the congestion, Durandhar 2 is expected to release on March 19, just days before Peddi. The presence of multiple high-profile releases within a short span has reportedly created distribution challenges, particularly in North Indian circuits.

Industry insiders reveal that the Bollywood distributor handling Toxic and Durandhar 2 is also associated with Peddi. Given the distributor’s close association with Ram Charan, it is believed that a strategic decision may be taken to avoid internal competition. As a result, a postponement of Peddi is said to be nearly finalized, though an official confirmation is still awaited.
