Amazon Prime Video To Show Ads In India From June 17, 2025

Amazon announced that Prime Video will start showing limited ads in India from June 17, 2025, to support content investment. The number of ads shown will be fewer compared to what is typically seen on traditional television. This change won't affect the current Prime membership price.

ad-free plan for Rs 699 per year or Rs 129 per month. All other Prime benefits remain unchanged. Users can cancel and request a refund if they don't wish to continue.

• Prime Lite – Rs 799/year (720p only)
• The Standard Prime plan is available for Rs 1,499 per year, providing 4K Prime Video

For those preferring an ad-free 4K experience, the cost goes up to Rs 2,798/year—higher than JioCinema, but still more affordable than Netflix’s Rs 649/month 4K plan.
