Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara starring Junior NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Tom Chacko was a massive success, grossing over Rs. 500 crores. Now, preparations for Devara 2 are underway. The pre-production work is set to begin in July, and Koratala Siva is working on the announcement video, which will be released in the next 12-13 days, possibly around NTR's birthday on May 20.

Changes are being made to the original script, including a flashback episode related to Devaru in Peaks. Bobby Deol is expected to join the cast as an additional antagonist, alongside Saif Ali Khan.  The regular shoot will begin after NTR wraps up his current project with Prashanth Neel.
