GOAT Advance Booking Smashes Records, Surpassing Indian 2

The film, which marks Vijay's final release before his political debut with Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), is a highly anticipated sci-fi action thriller featuring a prominent ensemble cast including Featuring Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, and Yugendran. 

On the first day of bookings, GOAT has collected a remarkable Rs 12.07 crores. The detailed breakdown is as follows:

Tamil (2D): Rs 11,78,76,136.66

Telugu (2D): Rs 7,44,861

Tamil (IMAX 2D): Rs 20,90,655

Total All India: Rs 12.07 Cr

With an average ticket price of Rs 207 for Tamil (2D), Rs 145 for Telugu (2D), and Rs 892 for Tamil (IMAX 2D), a total of 5,71,348 tickets have been sold.

Notably, GOAT has outperformed Kamal Haasan's highly anticipated Indian 2 in terms of bookings. Indian 2 had collected Rs 10.98 crores from the sale of 62,1477 tickets. As GOAT prepares for its theatrical release, it will be interesting to see how it performs at the box office. The film features Vijay in a dual role as Gandhi, a former leader of a special anti-terrorist squad, who is dealing with unresolved issues from his past actions.
