Interstellar to Re-release in India: 1 Lakh Tickets Already Booked for February 7

Lately, we have been hearing a lot about the re-release of star hero films and super-hit movies. Last year, a large number of films were re-released in Tollywood. Some of these films garnered an unexpected response, and a few even gained more craze during their re-release than their original release. In Bollywood, some films were also re-released, but they did not receive significant positive responses from the audience. At the beginning of this year, another cult hit is set to be re-released. This time, however, it is a Hollywood movie.

Re-releasing movies is a common practice in Hollywood. However, instead of a worldwide release, films are often re-released in certain countries and at specific times. The hit Hollywood film Interstellar is set to be re-released in India on February 7. Released in 2014, the film initially received negative feedback in India. While it was highly appreciated by Hollywood audiences, Indian cinema-goers were confused by the screenplay and the film was considered a flop. However, ten years after its initial release, tickets are now being booked for the re-release.

The movie Interstellar is set to be released in India in two weeks, and nearly one lakh tickets have already been booked online. The film will be screened in India for only one week, and the audience is booking tickets in large numbers for this limited run. Some reports suggest that advance bookings could reach 1.5 lakh tickets by the time of release. Nearly 10,000 people in Hyderabad’s Prasad Multiplex have already booked their tickets. The maximum bookings are happening during the weekend. Directed by the renowned Christopher Nolan, the film stars Matthew McConaughey and is about four astronauts exploring the possibility of human habitation on other planets due to the impending extinction of humanity. The movie was produced by Warner Brothers, and upon its release, it grossed nearly 660 million dollars. It has been re-released several times, earning an additional 100 million dollars and won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. This is why movie lovers, especially fans of English films, are booking tickets for its re-release in India.
