Kannappa, an ambitious mythological film with a budget of Rs. 140 crore, stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role and is set to release on April 25, 2025. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film also features Prabhas and Mohanlal in key roles. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Vishnu revealed that both Prabhas and Mohanlal didn't accept any payment for their roles, driven by their deep respect for his father, Dr. Mohan Babu. Vishnu shared a playful conversation with Mohanlal, who humorously asked if he thought he had become "such a big boy now."

Prabhas plays Rudra and Mohanlal plays Kirata in this grand project, produced by 24 Frames Factory and Ava Entertainment. The film also stars Mohan Babu, Akshay Kumar, Sarathkumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Preity Mukhundhan, and Vishnu’s daughters, Ariana and Viviana Manchu.
