Peaky Blinders movie
The film, made in association with BBC Film, reunites Murphy with show creator Steven Knight and director Tom Harper. In a social media post, Netflix shared a photo of Murphy as the iconic Birmingham gangster, announcing, “By order of the Peaky Blinders... Tommy Shelby is back.” Another image shows Murphy with Knight on set.
The movie, set during World War II, continues the story from the original series, which aired its last season in 2022. Directed by Harper, who worked on the first season, the film features a script by Knight and stars Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth.
Murphy expressed excitement about working with Knight and Harper again, while Harper praised the “explosive” chemistry of the cast and writing that has defined the show for over a decade. Knight promised the film would be an "explosive chapter" in the Peaky Blinders saga.
The release date and full cast details remain undisclosed.
