Prabhas Kalki 2 To Start Filming This Month

Kalki 2898 AD has garnered global acclaim, especially with its recent success at the Moscow International Film Week. Directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, it stands as the highest-grossing Indian and Telugu film of 2024. Fans are now eagerly awaiting its sequel, which is already generating buzz.

Kalki 2 will focus on Kamal Haasan’s character, Yaskin, as he embarks on a perilous mission. The sequel, expected to take about three years to complete and possibly be divided into two parts, has already filmed some footage during the first film’s production. Filming for Kalki 2 is set to begin in early 2025, likely in January or February.

Producers Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt expressed excitement about the new project. Priyanka stated, “Once filming starts, we’ll have more to announce.” Swapna added, “We’re more excited than anxious this time, having planned thoroughly and gained valuable insights from the first film’s feedback.” Priyanka also noted, “We’ll celebrate the start of shooting Kalki 2 as a relief from our previous stress.”

The first film received praise from notable figures like Ranveer Singh, Atlee, Varun Dhawan, and SS Rajamouli, further fueling anticipation for the sequel. Priyanka appreciated the widespread support, saying, “It felt like everyone came together to promote the film.”
