Prasar Bharati, India's national broadcaster, has introduced its new OTT platform, 'Waves', which offers a diverse selection of content, including live television channels and a rich collection of archives from Doordarshan and Aakashvani. The app currently hosts over 40 channels, providing a variety of entertainment options.

During the International Film Festival of India in Goa, Prasar Bharati Chairman Navneet Kumar Sehgal shared that the app focuses on delivering clean, family-friendly content. In addition to live TV, the app includes features like news updates, shopping via the ONDC network, and gaming. Users can also access Prasar Bharati’s vast archive, reliving nostalgic moments with classic shows from the past.
