Despite Pushpa 2 reportedly nearing Rs. 2000 crores globally, a film industry figure, Nattikumar, has questioned its true profitability. The producers have stated the film’s success, surpassing Baahubali 2’s record, but have not officially confirmed total earnings. The movie is said to have crossed the break-even point in several regions, including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and overseas.

However, Nattikumar recently claimed that the film did not break even in some areas, including Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, where distributors allegedly faced losses. He acknowledged its success in North India and Telangana but noted weaker performance elsewhere. These comments have sparked controversy, with Allu Arjun's fans dismissing Nattikumar’s views due to his history of criticizing successful films.
