Val Kilmer, Star of Top Gun and Batman Forever, Dies at 65
Val Kilmer, the Juilliard-trained actor known for films like Top Gun, The Doors, Batman Forever, and The Prince of Egypt, has died at 65 due to pneumonia, according to The New York Times.

A leading star of the 1990s, Kilmer was known for his intense and perfectionistic approach, often clashing with directors and co-stars. He debuted in Top Secret! (1984) and gained fame as Iceman in Top Gun (1986), later reprising the role in Top Gun: Maverick (2022). His portrayal of Jim Morrison in The Doors (1991) showcased his singing talent, using his voice in the film.
Kilmer also starred in Willow (1988), Tombstone (1993), Heat (1995), and Batman Forever (1995), though he declined to return for the next Batman film. Despite career setbacks, he remained a respected figure in Hollywood.
