Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated epic, Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is making waves in the film industry. Yash, who will portray Ravana, is slated to start shooting in December 2024 after completing Toxic directed by Geethu Mohandas. Meanwhile, Sunny Deol, who will play Hanuman, will begin filming in 2025 following his work on Border 2.

Reports indicate that Ranbir Kapoor is close to finishing his part as Lord Ram and will film scenes with Yash and Sunny later. Sai Pallavi will star as Sita, with Arun Govil (from the classic Ramayan) cast as King Dasharatha and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi.

The film, produced on a massive budget of 835 crore, aims to elevate Indian cinema to a global stage. The release date is expected to be in 2026, with extensive post-production planned.
