Anurag Kashyap returns with Nishaanchi, a crime drama that introduces Balasaheb Thackeray’s grandson Aaishvary Thackeray in a double role, alongside Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra.

Set in early 2000s Uttar Pradesh, the story follows brothers Babloo and Dabloo, whose opposing beliefs drive the narrative. The film releases in theatres on September 19 before making its way to OTT.

The trailer promises action, romance, and family drama, while posters confirm its digital destination. After the theatrical run, Nishaanchi will stream on Amazon Prime Video, though the release date is yet to be revealed.

Backed by Jar Pictures and Flip Films, the film is co-written by Kashyap with Prasoon Mishra and Ranjan Chandel, and features music by Anurag Saikia, Manan Bhardwaj, and Dhruv Ghanekar with vocals from Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi.
