Alia Bhatt’s action thriller Jigra is set to release on Netflix on December 5, following its disappointing performance at the box office. Produced by Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar, the film, directed by Vasan Bala, had a budget of 90 crore but only earned around 30 crore in theaters, resulting in a loss of over 60 crore.

The film, which blends action with a sisterly bond, stars Alia Bhatt as Satyabhama, a woman who fights to clear her innocent brother’s name after he is sentenced to death in a foreign drug case. Despite a star-studded cast, including Vedang Raina and Rahul Ravindran, Jigra failed to resonate with audiences due to its lackluster suspense and emotional depth.

Jigra will be available in Hindi and several southern languages on Netflix starting December 5, with an official release announcement expected by the end of November.
