Keerthy Suresh's Baby John OTT Release: From Box Office Disaster to Streaming Success
Keerthy Suresh's Bollywood debut, Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan, had high expectations but was a massive disappointment at the box office. Directed by Atlee and produced by Atlee and Cine1 Studios, the film, which was released on December 25, failed to resonate with audiences and grossed only ₹60 crore, far below its ₹160 crore budget.
Initially set for an OTT release two months post-theatrical release, Baby John will now stream on Amazon Prime by the end of January due to its poor performance. The film will also be available in Telugu and Tamil. Baby John is a remake of Atlee's 2016 hit Theri, starring Vijay and Samantha, and despite a star-studded cast and Thaman's music, it has been marked as one of Bollywood's biggest flops.
