Emergency OTT Release Date And Streaming Details

Kangana Ranaut's Emergency, released on January 17, has failed to make a significant impact at the box office, earning only Rs 17 crore. However, the film will soon be available for streaming on Netflix starting March 17. The political drama, which was directed by and stars Kangana as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, delves into the 21-month Emergency period in India (1975-1977).

The film also features Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Mahima Chaudhry as Pupul Jayakar, among others. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Emergency has been praised for Kangana's portrayal of Gandhi, with many highlighting her attention to detail and acting skills. Notably, the film was not screened in Punjab due to political controversy surrounding its portrayal of Sikh issues.
