‘Mahaavatar: Narasimha’, released on July 25, has crossed ₹105 crore and become India’s highest-grossing animated film. Despite a slow start, it gained massive popularity.

OTT platforms are competing for streaming rights, with Jio Hotstar likely to acquire them for over ₹50 crore. The film may premiere online in late September or early October, but no official date has been announced yet.

Directed by Ashwini Kumar and produced by Hombale Films, it’s the first in a 10-part Mahaavatar Cinematic Universe, with ‘Parasuram’ set for 2027.
