His wife, Rani Kashyap (Pannu), also hides her past as a widow. Their secret meetings are disrupted when Rani becomes entangled with Abhimanyu (Sunny Kaushal), a seemingly mild-mannered compounder.

Sunny Kaushal delivers a standout performance as Abhimanyu, adding depth to the role. Taapsee Pannu’s portrayal of Rani is competent but lacks the earlier film’s charisma. Vikrant Massey’s performance as Rishu evokes sympathy, despite his character’s unsettling actions. Jimmy Shergill’s role as Montu Chacha is intriguing but ultimately falls short due to a weak script.

The film’s first half is engaging, with effective world-building and a strong musical score. However, the second half becomes predictable and loses its edge, leading to a disappointing climax. The unresolved ending suggests a possible sequel, which may address the film’s issues and provide a more fulfilling conclusion.
