Six years after the success of Stree, the highly anticipated sequel Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank hit theaters on August 15, 2024, coinciding with Independence Day. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is the fifth installment in Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe, following Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya.

Set in the eerie town of Chanderi, Stree 2 follows a headless entity called Sarkata, terrorizing the town by abducting women. The movie brings back the original cast, including Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar, with Tamannaah Bhatia making a special appearance as Shama.

Fans can expect Stree 2 to stream on Amazon Prime Video, reportedly from September 27, though an official confirmation is still awaited.
