Laughing Buddha, a comedy-drama directed by Bharath Raj M and produced by Rishab Shetty, stars Pramod Shetty and was released in theaters on August 30. The film received positive reviews and performed well at the box office.

Now set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from October 18, Laughing Buddha follows Govardhan, a loveable cop who uses home-cooked meals to gain the trust of suspects. The film's unique premise, featuring out-of-shape cops, appealed to Rishab, who supported the project for its merit.

The cast includes Teju Belawadi, Diganth, and Sundar Raj. Notably, Diganth replaced Rishab in his role due to scheduling conflicts with Kantara.
