Tenant, a Kannada pandemic murder mystery directed by debutant Sridhar Shastri, is now available for streaming on Sun NXT. Released in theatres in November 2024, the film features Dharma Keerthiraj in a rare grey-shaded role as Sundresh, the title character. The thriller follows a young couple, Kamalesh (Rakesh Maiya) and Damini (Sonu Gowda), who rent a room to Sundresh. Tensions rise when Damini becomes frustrated with his unsanitary habits and unwanted advances, leading to a confrontation in which Kamalesh is fatally injured.

As the investigation unfolds, Inspector Jay (Tilak Shekar) discovers something suspicious about Kamalesh's death. Set during the pandemic with minimal locations and a small cast, Tenant presents a darker side of the era. The film marks the first Kannada release on Sun NXT in 2025.
