Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz, is now available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. This fantasy adventure drama, which also stars Mohanlal in the lead role, is offered in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The film follows Barroz, a ghost tasked with guarding a treasure until a curse traps him. Years later, a Portuguese teenager arrives in Goa, planning to turn the palace into a casino.

Despite its promising concept, Barroz did not perform well at the box office, failing to recover its ₹100 crore budget. The film received mixed reviews upon release. Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, Barroz also stars Maya Rao West, Cesar Lorente Raton, and others.
