Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz, will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from the last week of January 2025. The film, released in theaters on December 25, 2024, is set in 1663, where a lieutenant guards a treasure for Portugal’s Da Gama kings, waiting for a rightful heir. The guardian spirit, Barroz, passes the treasure to Isabella, believed to be a descendant of Da Gama.
