After a successful theatrical run, the prequel to the 2017 film Mufti, Bhairathi Ranagal, is set to release on OTT in Tamil and Malayalam. The Kannada film, starring Shivarajkumar, will debut on the Sun NXT platform on Friday.

Written and directed by Narthan, the film features Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Devaraj, Avinash, Chaya Singh, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Sriimurali, Madhu Guruswamy, and Babu Hirannaiah. It was produced under the Geetha Pictures banner and originally hit theatres on November 15, with Telugu and Tamil versions premiering on November 29.

The film received mostly positive reviews. Critics praised Shivarajkumar’s performance, highlighting his intense screen presence. His portrayal of Bhairathi, filled with emotional depth and power, was a major highlight. Though the film doesn’t rely on heavy dialogues, Bhairathi’s impactful lines, especially in the second half, provided an emotional boost for fans.
