The movie, starring Tovino Thomas and Trisha Krishnan in lead roles, is directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan. It has received positive reviews in Malayalam, and due to the lack of interesting films in Telugu after Sankranti, it has been released in theaters here.

Meanwhile, ZEE5 has acquired the OTT rights for "Identity". After its theatrical run in Malayalam, it is set to stream on the platform. The movie will be available in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada on January 31. The film's team has shared a poster announcing this. It is noteworthy that the movie will be streaming on OTT just a week after its Telugu theatrical release.

The story revolves around a case where CI Allen (Vinay Rai) travels to Kerala to investigate Alicia (Trisha). However, Alicia meets with an accident and loses her ability to recognize people. Haran (Tovino), who comes to her aid, becomes involved in the case. The connection between Haran and Allen, and whether CI Allen can solve the case using the details Alicia provides, forms the crux of the movie. This low-budget film grossed over 18 crores in Malayalam.
