The Malayalam award-winning movie Neelamudi has skipped theatrical release and is now available directly on OTT platforms, including Amazon Prime Video and Manorama Max. With a runtime of just 80 minutes, Neelamudi offers a satirical comedy on caste discrimination, directed by Sarathkumar.

The film, shot in a unique vlog-style format, stars Majeed Hanifa, Srinath, Subramanian, and Achuthanandan in key roles. The story revolves around a YouTuber, Sidhu, who creates a prank video that spirals out of control, becoming a viral sensation that causes conflicts. The director explores the consequences of social media misuse, especially when prank videos cross the line.

Neelamudi was showcased at the International Film Festival of Kerala and other global film festivals. Produced on a modest budget of under one core rupees, this movie marks the debut for many of its actors.
