The Malayalam mystery thriller Karnika, which hit theatres on August 23 last year, is now streaming on the OTT platform Simply South from June 6—available only for international viewers. The makers announced the digital premiere on Instagram, unveiling a new poster that reflects the film’s eerie and suspenseful tone.

Though it received mixed reviews and underperformed at the box office, Karnika's gripping screenplay and dark storyline are expected to gain more appreciation on OTT.

The film follows a writer whose life spirals after a mysterious attack, triggering a tense police investigation that leads to the haunted Poovarasi Mana mansion in Payyavoor. The plot slowly reveals chilling secrets connecting the writer to the house.

Directed and scored by Arun Venpala, Karnika stars Priyanka Nair, Viaan Mangalashery, TG Ravi, Kriss Venugopal, and Aadhav Ramachandran. Produced by Abhini Sohan, the film marks another horror-thriller project for Nair, a self-proclaimed fan of the genre.
