Narivetta, the Malayalam action drama inspired by the 2003 Muthanga tribal protest, is now streaming on SonyLIV, a day ahead of its scheduled July 11 release. Available in five languages, the film stars Tovino Thomas as CPO Peter Varghese, a cop caught in the state’s displacement of tribal communities.

Directed by Anuraj Manohar and written by Abin Joseph, it also features Suraj Venjaramoodu, Cheran (in his Malayalam debut), Arya Salim, and others. 

Produced by Tippushan and Shiyas Hassan, the film includes music by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography by Vijay, and editing by Shameer Muhammad. Narivetta delivers a powerful commentary on tribal rights and state control.
