Pravinkoodu Shappu, starring Basil Joseph and Soubin Shahir, will premiere on SonyLIV on April 11. Directed by debutant Sreeraj Sreenivasan, this investigation thriller centers around a murder in a toddy shop. The film, which received mixed reviews following its theatrical release on January 16, also features Chemban Vinod Jose, Chandini Sreedharan, Niyas Aboobecker, and others.

Produced by Anwar Rasheed, the film has cinematography by Shyju Khalid, music by Vishnu Vijay, and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali. Despite some creative moments in the staging of the crime, the film's narrative lacks impact, with a generic motive and ineffective red herrings.
