Rekhachitram Movie OTT Release Date Fix

Malayalam cinema has been witnessing massive success with low-budget films, proving that strong content and unique storytelling attract great responses beyond just hero-centric movies. In recent times, audiences have shown increased interest in mystery thrillers and horror dramas. In this trend, Rekhachitram, a film that was released in theaters earlier this year, became a huge success. Starring renowned Malayalam actor Asif Ali in the lead role, the movie was released on January 9 and became the first blockbuster of the year. Made on a modest budget of ₹9 crores, the film grossed over ₹55 crores at the box office.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Rekhachitram to release on OTT, and now the official streaming date has been announced. The movie will start streaming on SonyLIV from March 7. It will be available not only in Malayalam but also in Telugu, increasing excitement among Telugu audiences who are looking forward to watching it.

The story follows Vivek Gopinath, a powerful police officer who gets suspended from duty. After getting involved in a gambling scandal, he ends up on the streets. He is later assigned a murder case that has remained unsolved for 40 years. Determined to solve the case and regain his lost reputation in the department, he embarks on an intense investigation. Directed by Jofin T. Chacko, the film also features Anaswara Rajan and Manoj K. Jayan in key roles.
