Sarvam Maya, the Malayalam supernatural comedy that released in theatres last month, has now made its digital debut.

The film stars Nivin Pauly in the lead role, alongside Riya Shibu, Aju Varghese, Janardhanan, and Preity Mukundan in pivotal roles. Directed by Akhil Sathyan, Sarvam Maya arrived in cinemas on December 25 as a Christmas release, initially carrying modest expectations.

Produced on a reported budget of approximately Rs 30 crore, the film has emerged as a major box-office success, grossing over Rs 145 crore worldwide. Remarkably, it continues to attract audiences even weeks after its theatrical run.

The story follows Nambuthiri, a talented guitarist who returns to his hometown after his European visa application is rejected. He begins assisting a priest familiar to him, and during a ritual involving pujas and exorcism at a house, an unexpected twist occurs. From that moment onward, the soul of a mysterious young woman becomes visible only to Nambuthiri. With no memory of her past, she befriends him and names herself “Delulu,” gradually causing humorous and chaotic situations by interacting with the real world unnoticed by others.

As the narrative progresses, Nambuthiri finds success as a guitarist and reconnects with his father. Meanwhile, Delulu slowly begins to recall fragments of her past. The film maintains interest by unraveling questions surrounding Delulu’s true identity, her death, and the choices made by the protagonist in the final act.

Sarvam Maya is now streaming on Jio Hotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, and other languages. Viewers seeking a light-hearted, feel-good entertainer may find the film enjoyable, especially when watched without preconceived expectations.
