Tandel was released in theaters on February 7, and it is speculated to arrive on OTT by March 7. Though there is no official confirmation yet, reports suggest that Netflix has acquired the digital rights for a huge price. Director Chandoo Mondeti himself revealed that the OTT deal helped recover more than half of the film’s budget. Despite being released in February, a dry season for the industry, and facing piracy issues, Tandel remained unaffected and became a blockbuster based on real-life events.
