The first season of the Malayalam web series Lola Cottage, starring Alencier Ley Lopez and Blessy Silvaster, premiered on September 8 on the NMX Series platform. Directed and produced independently by model-turned-actress Nila Nambiar, the series was filmed in Kuttikkanam, with the cast joining after reviewing her script.

Alencier Ley Lopez addressed earlier social media criticism regarding his participation, stating that acting is a professional commitment and that he chose the role for its character.

He emphasized that artistic work should not be limited by societal moral judgments and focused on his craft rather than the creators’ backgrounds.

With Season 1 now streaming, Lola Cottage adds to the growing Malayalam web series landscape, marking a collaboration between an experienced actor and a director emerging from modeling and social media.
