Mari Selvaraj's Tamil children's drama "Vaazhai," featuring newcomers Ponvel M. and Raghul R., will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on October 11, 2024. The film, which hit theaters on August 23, 2024, is set in 1998 and follows Sivanaindhan, a bright student from a struggling Tamil Nadu village, whose life changes after a tragic accident.

The cast includes Kalaiyarasan and Nikhila Vimal, with production by Navvi Studios and Farmer's Master Plan Production, and music by Santhosh Narayanan. Selvaraj's direction has been praised, following his successful film "Maamannan."
