After more than two years since its theatrical release, Vijayanand, the biopic on transport and media tycoon Vijay Sankeshwar, is making its way to OTT. Directed by Rishika Sharma and starring Nihal Rajput as the young Sankeshwar, the film chronicles his journey from a single truck to a large transport empire, and his later ventures into publishing.

The film will be available for streaming on Namma Flix, a Kannada OTT platform, from February 14, 2025. While the biopic aimed to glorify Sankeshwar’s self-made success, it faced criticism for being more of a vanity project, lacking an objective portrayal. Despite this, the film’s narrative, based on interviews with Sankeshwar, aims to inspire viewers with his foundation of honesty and hard work.
