Kollywood star hero Ajith Kumar’s latest movie "Vidamuyarchi" was released in Telugu as "Pattudala." Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, this action thriller features Trisha as the female lead, along with Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra in key roles. The film hit theaters on February 6 in both Tamil and Telugu. With positive responses to its posters, songs, and trailer, the film had a strong opening. However, its collections gradually dropped. Despite this, Ajith’s star power helped the film collect around ₹130 crore. Ajith’s performance, action sequences, and Trisha’s beauty became the film’s highlights.

Now, this average theatrical performer is heading for an OTT release. Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights of the film. Initially, there were reports that the film would be available on OTT 50 days after its theatrical release, around the last week of March. However, due to its underwhelming theatrical run, reports suggest that the OTT release is being advanced. Netflix is reportedly planning to stream Ajith’s movie in the first week of March. The film is expected to release on OTT in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam simultaneously.

Director Magizh Thirumeni crafted this movie based on the Hollywood film "Breakdown." It was produced on a massive budget by Subaskaran under Lyca Productions.
