This Diwali, the box office witnessed great excitement with all the released films receiving superhit feedback. Among them, Amaran, starring Shiva Karthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, was a standout, capturing the audience's attention. Recently, the film's team announced that Amaran has crossed the 200 crore mark. Released in both Tamil and Telugu, the film achieved massive success at the box office. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, Amaran gained significant collections in both markets.

Produced by Rajkamal Films International, in collaboration with Sony Pictures, the film features actor Shiva Karthikeyan as an army soldier. Sai Pallavi, who plays his wife, delivered an excellent performance.The music for the film was scored by GV Prakash Kumar.Based on the life of the late Army Major Mukund Varadarajan, the film beautifully depicts his sacrifices. Shiva Karthikeyan impressed with his acting, while Sai Pallavi brilliantly portrayed Indu Rebecca Varghese, Major Mukund's wife.

Now, Amaran is set to make its digital debut on OTT. The digital streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix for a reported 60 crore rupees. The film is expected to be available on Netflix by the end of November. An official announcement regarding the OTT release will be made soon. Major Mukund Varadarajan, who sacrificed his life to protect the country, was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest honor, at the Republic Day ceremony in 2015, which was presented by his wife, Indu Mukund.
