Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran, a Tamil action war film, has become a massive success, grossing over Rs 300 crore at the global box office. The movie has become the actor's highest-grossing film, joining the ranks of Tamil blockbusters like Enthiran, Kabali, 2.0, and Jailer. Following its box office triumph, fans are eagerly awaiting its OTT release.

Amaran OTT Release Date

The digital rights for Amaran have been acquired by Netflix for Rs 60 crore, and the film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. While an official release date is yet to be confirmed, reports suggest it could premiere on Netflix as early as December 5 or 11, 2024.

About Amaran

Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Amaran is based on the true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, portrayed by Sivakarthikeyan. The film follows his wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese, as she travels to New Delhi to receive the Ashoka Chakra awarded posthumously to her late husband. Inspired by the book series India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes, the film also stars Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, and Bhuvan Arora.
