Lucky the Superstar Movie: Popular music composer-turned-actor GV Prakash Kumar has taken the lead role in the newly released film Lucky the Superstar, which has premiered directly on Jio Hotstar. The film is receiving encouraging responses from audiences following its digital debut.

Starring Anaswara Rajan as the female lead, the film is directed by Uday Mahesh, known for his earlier works such as Naalai and Chakravyuham. The project recently completed production and was initially expected to have a theatrical release. However, the makers opted for a direct OTT premiere, which has now become a major talking point in the industry.

Lucky the Superstar marks one of the notable direct-to-OTT releases this year. Earlier, filmmaker Suresh Krishna’s film Ananta was also released digitally due to limited theatrical availability.

Expanding its reach, Lucky the Superstar is currently streaming in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali, broadening its accessibility across regional markets.
