Jailer Streaming On Sun NXT On August 16

To celebrate the first anniversary of Jailer, the makers have unveiled the trailer for Jailer Unlocked. Produced by Sun Pictures, this three-part series will keep fans engaged while awaiting updates on Jailer 2. The trailer features interviews with the film’s crew, behind-the-scenes footage, and Nelson Dilipkumar reflecting on his collaboration with Rajinikanth. Jailer Unlocked is set to premiere on Sun NXT on August 16, 2024.

Plot

Released a year ago, Jailer stars Rajinikanth as "Tiger" Muthuvel Pandian, a former jailer on a mission to capture a quirky idol smuggler, Varman. The three-part series will offer an in-depth look at the film’s making, including extensive behind-the-scenes content and staff interviews.

Cast

Jailer features Rajinikanth, Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu, and Sunil, with cameos from Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, and Shiva Rajkumar.

Premiering on August 10, 2023, Jailer was the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023, the sixth-highest-grossing Indian film of the year, and the second-highest-grossing Tamil film of all time.
