Maaman, an action-packed Tamil film starring Soori and Aishwarya Lekshmi, premiered in cinemas on May 16, 2025. Despite mixed reviews, it became one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies of the year.

Maaman’s OTT rights were acquired by Zee5, and it will be available for streaming in the second week of June. Zee TV holds the satellite rights.

The film explores the complex relationship between a maternal uncle and his nephew, which impacts his marriage. The film’s visuals were captured by cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, with editing handled by Ganesh Siv, while Hesham Abdul Wahab made his Tamil music debut as the composer. Think Music holds the audio rights.

According to Sacnilk, Maaman earned approximately ₹36.51 crore net in India during its first 19 days.
